This study aims to determine the types of errors made by students in solving contextual problems on circle and parabola material and the factors that cause these errors. The research used descriptive qualitative method with research subjects in the form of 10 students of Mathematics Education study program. Data were collected through written tests in the form of two essay questions and interviews with students who made fatal errors based on Nolting's mathematical error classification. The results of the analysis showed that the most dominant type of error was reading the instructions, followed by careless, concept, application, test, and learning errors. The main causative factors of these errors include students' lack of ability to structure information, weakness in spatial reasoning, tendency to rely on intuition without verification, and lack of practice in contextual problems and the habit of double-checking work. This study confirms the importance of increasing practice of contextual problems that demand in-depth conceptual understanding and skills to structure information logically to reduce errors and improve students' mathematical understanding.
