Improving Students’ Vocabulary Mastery by Using Digital English Comic

The objective of the research was to find out whether digital English comic can enrich students’ vocabulary mastery. The researcher applied a pre-experimental method. The population of the research was the second grade of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar. The sample consisted of 12 students. The data were collected through vocabulary test (pre-test and post-test). To find out the students’ improvement of using digital English comic in learning vocabulary, the researcher applied t-test analysis. The research result indicated that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre test (47.083) which was lower than the mean score of post-test (82.91) and the value of t-test (16.924) was greater than the t-table (1.796) at the level of significance (p) = 0,05 and degree of freedom (df) = 11. It is concluded that digital English comic can imporove students’ vocabulary mastery.
