Improving Students' Vocabulary Mastery through Montessori-Based Method for Seventh Grade Students of UPT SMPN 27 Medan

Wiwin Getriani, 2024. This research aims to determine the improvement of student vocabulary through Montessori-based method for seventh grade students at UPT SMPN 27 Medan. This research uses a pre-experimental method. The population of this research is seventh grade for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample in this research was 30 students using the purposive sampling technique in one class. This research used Pre-test and Post-test to collect data and process data, the researcher used three methods: SPSS, manual, and Microsoft Excel. The data results show that there is a significant difference in students' English vocabulary, where the score on the Post-test is higher than the Pre-test (83.67>66.33) and the t-test results are higher than the t-table (11.66 >2,045). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that teaching English vocabulary using the Montessori-based method can improve vocabulary mastery in seventh grade students at UPT SMPN 27 Medan.
