Abstract

This research aims to investigate the students' perception of the implementation of the smart classroom in Vocabulary Development II, focusing on The researcher chose second semester for a total 15 students as participants of the research students of the English Education Department at STKIP YPUP Makassar. Using a qualitative research approach, data were collected through interviews and observations to gain in-depth insights into students' experiences and attitudes toward the use of technology in their vocabulary learning process. The findings indicate that most students view the smart classroom positive, highlighting its interactive features, ease of access to digital resources, and enhanced learning engagement. However, some students also pointed out challenges, such as technological difficulties and the need for more training in using the smart classroom effectively. Overall, the study concludes that the smart classroom has a significant impact on vocabulary development, but successful implementation requires addressing technical barriers and improving students' digital literacy.
