Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out if the result of using Shoebox Game on students’ reading comprehension of the eleventh grade at SMA Cendrawasih Makassar. Using a single class for pre-test, treatment, and post-test, the study applied the pre-experimental technique. The eleventh-grade students of SMA Cendrawasih Makassar made up the research's population. Saturation sampling technique was used to determine the sample. The result showed that the post-test mean score (84,17) was greater than the pre-test means score (67,5). Additionally, the t-test value was greater than the t-table point (10,509) > (2.201). It indicated a significant difference of the students' reading comprehension between the pre- and post-tests. So, it could be concluded that the eleventh-grade students of SMA Cendrawasih Makassar had better outcome in reading comprehension by using Shoebox game.
