The Use of Scrabble Go Game in Teaching Vocabulary of the Eight Grade Students’ at SMPN 13 Makassar

This study aims to determine the results of using the Scrabble GO Game apps in teaching vocabulary to eight grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. This research used pre-experimental method. The population of this study was the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Makassar which amounted to 355 students. The sample was taken using random technique, namely class VIII A which amounted to 29 students. Data were collected through Pre-test and Post-test. Data were analyzed using SPSS Version 25. The results of the data analysis show that there is a significant difference in students' vocabulary before and after applying teaching vocabulary using the Scrabble GO Game apps, where the post-test score is higher than the pre-test score (92.82 > 63.44) and the t-test result is higher than the t-table (20.559 > 2.048) which means H1 is accepted while H0 is rejected. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Scrabble GO game apps improves students' vocabulary mastery at SMP Negeri 13 Makassar.
