Abstrak

This study aims to develop a mathematical model to analyze the efficiency of three different types of paint used on the walls of a small prayer room (mushola). The research focuses on comparing paint performance based on coverage area, required coating layers, material consumption, and cost-effectiveness. Data were obtained through direct measurement of painted wall surfaces, observation of paint absorption characteristics, and calculation of paint usage per square meter. A mathematical model was constructed using surface area formulas, proportional relationships of paint viscosity, and efficiency ratios to evaluate each paint type objectively. The model’s validation involved comparing theoretical predictions with actual field results to assess accuracy and applicability. Findings indicate that each paint type demonstrates distinct efficiency patterns influenced by texture, pigment density, and spreadability. The developed model provides a quantitative framework for determining which paint offers the most optimal balance between consumption and cost. This study contributes to practical decision-making in small-scale building maintenance, offering a systematic approach to selecting paint products based on measurable efficiency indicators. The model may also be applied to similar contexts requiring material-use optimization in building finishing.
